Coach Matt Delo

Coach Matt Delo brings more than a decade of teaching and coaching experience to the 3B staff, making him one of the most well‑rounded instructors in our program. With over 10 years in the classroom and 10+ years on the field, he has developed a coaching style rooted in clear communication, strong fundamentals, and a deep understanding of how young athletes learn. His ability to break down mechanics, teach baseball IQ, and build player confidence sets him apart as a true educator of the game.


Currently serving as an assistant coach at Neshannock High School, Coach Delo works daily with competitive high‑school athletes and understands the demands of modern player development. This summer, he will be offering private lessons at 3B Headquarters, providing athletes of all ages with structured, high‑quality instruction tailored to their individual needs. Whether an athlete is building foundational skills or preparing for the next level, Coach Delo delivers the experience, professionalism, and teaching ability to help them grow.

Coach Staub (Stauby’s Sports)

Coach Chase (Diamond Dynamics Academy)

Chase Tomko is a former state champion, four-year collegiate starter, and experienced head coach dedicated to developing fundamentally elite baseball players.


A member of the 2019 PIAA 1A State Championship team at West Middlesex High School, Chase went on to start four years at catcher and first base at Westminster College. His collegiate career sharpened his expertise in defensive leadership, game management, and positional detail at the highest levels of amateur competition.


Since 2020, Chase has trained athletes individually, helping youth and high school players elevate their mechanics, baseball IQ, and in-game performance. He brings leadership experience as a two-year Head Coach with the Dukes Baseball Club and one year as a coach with the 3B Barons, where he led competitive teams and oversaw full player development systems.


In 2024, Chase founded Diamond Dynamics Academy LLC, a performance-driven training organization focused on structured skill progression and long-term athlete growth. He is insured and professionally trained through the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA), ensuring his methods align with current, research-backed player development standards.


His mission is simple: develop confident, disciplined, and fundamentally complete athletes — built the right way from the ground up!

Coach Jason Malley

 Coach Jason Malley brings a powerful blend of experience, energy, and precision to the Building Block Baseball program. A standout hitting coach from Penn State Shenango, Jason has built his reputation on helping athletes of all ages refine their mechanics and develop a confident, disciplined approach at the plate. His teaching style is patient yet demanding, combining technical detail with a motivating presence that keeps players engaged and improving every session.


Beyond his deep understanding of offensive fundamentals, Jason’s commitment to player development extends far beyond the field. He focuses on building strong habits, mental toughness, and a love for the game that lasts long after each lesson. Whether working one‑on‑one or leading group sessions, Coach Malley’s goal is simple — to make every hitter better, smarter, and more prepared to compete. His passion for teaching and his ability to connect with players make him an invaluable part of the 3B Barons family.

Coach Olivia Hood

  Coach Olivia “Liv” is a dynamic leader within the Lady Barons Softball Program and a driving force behind Building Block Baseball’s commitment to developing confident, skilled female athletes. A standout player from Saint Francis University, Liv brings collegiate‑level experience, technical precision, and an infectious enthusiasm to every session she leads. Her coaching philosophy blends advanced mechanics with mental preparation, helping players understand not just how to perform, but why each movement matters.


Throughout the summer, Coach Liv will be offering 1‑on‑1 lessons at 3B and serving as a head coach for the Lady Barons Softball Camp, guiding athletes through personalized training and competitive development. Her ability to connect with players, build trust, and inspire growth makes her an essential part of the Barons family. Liv’s passion for teaching and her dedication to empowering young women through softball embody the spirit of the Lady Barons program — strong, focused, and ready to rise.
